GRADES K4 - 6

Wonder & Joy

At the beginning of their educational journey, students are eager to learn and quick to wonder at the world around them. We harness that desire to establish strong foundations in the areas of language and mathematics through singing, games, and repetition. Students attend school on Tuesdays and Thursdays and are schooled at home on the other days of the week. Parents are typically more involved on home days as they teach and then assist students with work at home.

Primary School includes students in K4 through third grade. Students learn in self-contained classrooms and are focused on the foundations of learning. Parents are co-teaching at home on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. An emphasis is placed on learning to read through phonics, on memorizing the beautiful language of poetry and of God’s Word, on understanding the fundamentals of numbers, and on cultivating wonder through studying the natural world and the fascinating history of its people.

Grammar School includes students in fourth through sixth grades. Students begin to change classes to allow more specialization from faculty. They also begin to take more of a role in their own education by learning to manage their at-home work. The study of Latin is moved to the core curriculum, and English grammar is emphasized. We continue to direct students to God’s beauty through art and music and to God’s story and world through history and science.
